Managing Interpersonal Conflict Workshops
May & June 2011
Facing conflict with someone can be uncomfortable, especially in situations that are important to us. Our three-part practical and interactive workshop seriesis designed to provide participants with the knowledge, tools and hands-on experience we all need to communicate more effectively in interpersonal relationships both at home and at work.
Workshop I: Introduction to Communicating Through Conflict
This workshop will introduce some core concepts from the field of conflict resolution, as well as communication tools for approaching difficult interpersonal conversations.
Workshop II: Style Matters - Conflict Styles Inventory
Prerequisite:Workshop I
Facilitators will guide participants through the Kraybill Conflict Style Inventory, a self-assessment tool that provides suggestions on how to manage your responses to conflict more effectively.
Workshop III: Conflict Communication Skills Practice
Prerequisite: Workshop I & II
This workshop will give participants an opportunity to reflect on and practice conflict communication skills in depth through role-plays and scenarios.
