Jesus Aburto
Jesús Aburto is a Professional Engineer graduated from San Antonio Abad of Cusco University (Cusco, Peru). Since his early years in Canada, he has been interested in participating at various ethnic, cultural, and social organizations with the goal of sharing his ethnic background, gaining experience, and learning about other cultures around the world. He believes that understanding others' culture strengthens the community since we can share, accept, and learn from each others' view. Moreover, that there should be cultural groups that can enjoy and benefit from each other. This is the reason why he became a co-founder of nonprofit organizations such as "Friends of Latin America Association" and "Peruvian Canadian Cultural Association ACULPECA", as well as a member and Executive Officer of the Edmonton Folk Arts Council, Rotary Club of Sherwood Park, Knights of Columbus, The Foresters Society, and other well-known organizations. He enjoys playing guitar at senior lodges, hospitals, and church.
